If you like Fudge Stripe Cookies and mandarin oranges…THIS is the cookie salad for YOU. I discovered this dessert while working years ago. I asked for the recipe and this is how it was given to me – looks pretty simple, right? I don’t know who to credit this recipe to but if you worked with me and you know who it belongs to; please let me know so I can give credit where it is due.
*UPDATE*: After posting the recipe, my friend, Sharon Forret, contacted me and said that it was she that gave me the recipe years ago and that it belonged to her husband’s mom, Velma Forret.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 6 oz. package vanilla instant pudding
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 can mandarin oranges, drained
- 1 – 8 oz. carton cool whip, thawed
- 10 Fudge Stripe cookies, crushed
Mix buttermilk and pudding with a fork. Fold in cool whip. Add mandarin oranges and crushed cookies and fold gently.
Crush additional cookies to sprinkle on top.
Store in an airtight container in fridge for about 30 minutes before eating.
That’s it! Simple and delicious. Enjoy!
